Our Story
Elmira Vacuum began as a small-town shop with a simple goal: to help people keep their homes clean with better vacuums and better service. Since opening in 1984, the business has served thousands of families across Elmira, the Waterloo Region, and the Wellington Region. Over the years, what started as a local repair shop has grown into a trusted hub for premium vacuums, expert repairs, and honest advice.
In 2010, the business was acquired by Steve, who brought new energy and focus while remaining true to the shop’s original values. Under his leadership, Elmira Vacuum has expanded its product selection, upgraded its repair capabilities, and strengthened its reputation for going the extra mile for every customer.

Steve took over Elmira Vacuum in 2010 with a clear mission: keep the heart of the business intact while building on its strengths. With a hands-on approach and a genuine commitment to helping people, Steve has become a familiar face to many customers in the region. He believes in providing personal service, possessing in-depth product knowledge, and getting the job done right the first time.
Steve’s leadership has helped shape the shop into what it is today – organized, reliable, approachable, and always willing to lend a hand. From stocking a wide selection of vacuums to offering fast and effective repairs, Steve’s focus is always on what will benefit the customer the most.
